Adidas, the global sportswear brand, has announced a new initiative to support and showcase digital artists in the Web3 space. The program, called RESIDENCY by Adidas, will feature a series of NFT art sales and physical collaborations with selected artists from around the world.

RESIDENCY by Adidas is a digital art project from the Adidas /// Studio, also known as the Three Stripes Studio.
The studio is a creative platform that aims to connect the brand with the culture and community of Web3.
According to the studio’s website, RESIDENCY is “poised to welcome a diverse array of digital artists hailing from across the globe.”
The program aims to foster creativity and innovation and provide a “creative pathway” for digital artists to connect with the brand and the community of collectors.
It said this will be a one-of-a-kind opportunity to showcase artists and enable them to collaborate in both the digital and physical realms.
Meet the Artists of RESIDENCY by Adidas: Moto and Kandil
The studio has introduced two artists for its inaugural RESIDENCY: Tokyo-based Moto (aka MonkeeMoto) and Lebanese artist Adra Kandil (aka DearNostalgia).
The studio has “hand-selected” artists for their unique and diverse creative perspectives.
Moto is known for his colorful and dynamic illustrations that blend pop culture and street style, and Kandil is known for her nostalgic and emotional artworks exploring identity and belonging themes.
The Artworks of RESIDENCY: NFTs and Hoodies
The studio has partnered with NFT Now, a media platform for NFTs, for The Gateway’s third iteration at Korean Blockchain Week, which begins on September 7 in Seoul.
Per Adidas /// Studio, “With the artists’ freshly crafted pieces, RESIDENCY kicks off with Adidas premiere Limited Edition and Open Edition NFT art sale.”The sale will feature two open-edition pieces and two limited-edition pieces by each artist.”
‘Seoul’ and ‘Creatives’ are the titles of the open edition pieces that the city and the community of Web3 inspired.
The brand’s heritage and vision inspired the limited edition pieces titled ‘Soul Searching /// Youth Is Your Privilege’ and ‘Hype’.
The open edition pieces will be available for all at ETH 0.03 (about USD 120).
The limited edition pieces will also consist of 100 pieces per artist and an exclusive hoodie available only to the launch event attendees.
The package will be priced at ETH 0.15 (about USD 600).
How to Buy the Artworks of RESIDENCY by Adidas: Manifold and Tickets
Both editions can be bought via Manifold, a platform for creating and selling NFTs with ETH or a credit card, starting Wednesday, September 6. Tickets to the event are free.
Holders of an ALTS by Adidas NFT can register for a free VIP ticket that gives them access to the VIP opening event on September 6 and entry to the 2-day Gateway event.
Adidas launched ALTS by Adidas, an NFT project, in April 2023. It let holders of the previous “Into the Metaverse” NFT collection burn their original NFTs for new Adidas profile pictures (PFP) tied to a narrative campaign.
