Ankr asserts that the integration will facilitate the rapid development of the TON network by eliminating the need for developers to administer nodes.
Integration with The Open Network (TON) blockchain has been announced by Web3 infrastructure platform Ankr, enabling developers to develop decentralized applications (DApps) for Telegram users.
Ankr Integrates TON Open Network
The integration into Ankrās Web3 API services will eradicate node setup on TON, eliminating hours of development time spent on building, calibrating, and resolving issues, according to an announcement made on October 24.
The estimated number of Telegram users is 950 million. Telegram Mini Apps, including Hamster Kombat, a tap-to-earn game that has amassed over 300 million participants in a few months, are popular DApps based on TON.
These Mini Apps are intended to function immediately within the Telegram app and are built on TONās blockchain infrastructure.
With the integration, Ankr will allow developers to directly interact with the TON network for duties such as executing transactions, fetching wallet balances, and retrieving ownership information through remote procedure calls (RPCs) connections.
The TON RPC endpoints, which will be deployed through Asphere, will be a component of a geo-distributed network of blockchain nodes that operate globally with minimal latency.
TON Network Services
āWith the removal of barriers to building, we will be extremely enthusiastic about introducing innovative new functionality to the messaging app, which is already so essential to our industry,ā stated Chandler Song, co-founder and CEO of Ankr.
Additionally, the TON blockchain provides RPC services, enabling developers to interact with the network to develop DApps on Telegram actively. Nevertheless, Ankr asserts that its integration with the network eliminates the intricacies of node management.
The TON Foundation, responsible for the TON blockchain, has recently selected Axelarās Mobius Development Stack (MDS) to connect its ecosystem and 68 networks. Developers can use the stack to construct DApps across multiple blockchains, eliminating the necessity of bridging solutions through an interoperability layer.
Bitget and Foresight Ventures made a $30 million strategic investment in the TON blockchain in September. The funding is intended to expedite the development of TON-based applications, with a particular emphasis on games like Notcoin and Hamster Kombat.
