Binance is organizing an 8-week bootcamp in conjunction with Utiva to provide women with blockchain knowledge, tools, and skills in honor of International Women’s Month.
The crypto exchange company remains committed to addressing the industry’s gender gap.
The blockchain industry as a whole is providing new chances for Africans, with many being lifted out of poverty, learning new skills, finding work, and gaining access to financial systems that were previously unavailable to them.
Women, on the other hand, remain disproportionately underrepresented in the business, with 95 percent of crypto users being men, according to the Global Crypto User Index, and women accounting for only 15% of bitcoin traders, according to a Business Insider study.
The crypto exchange company continues to assist in the resolution of this issue.
The 8-week program will begin on March 26, 2022, at Utiva in Ikeja, Lagos, and will be a hybrid event that will include both real and virtual events.
The event will be held at Utiva Hive, 767 Somide Odujinrin Ave, Omole Phase 2 100271, Ikeja, Lagos, from March 8 to March 14, 2022.
The application period will begin on March 8, 2022, and will end on March 14, 2022, with the bootcamp beginning on March 26.
The organizers hope that by hosting this event, they will be able to demonstrate the wide range of career opportunities available in the crypto and blockchain industries.
Students will work on real-world projects in which they will be able to put their newly acquired abilities to use.
This boot camp will also provide women with the opportunity to earn meaningful employment, allowing them to become self-sufficient and possibly labor employers.
The crypto exchange company continues to empower women, in keeping with the company’s commitment to Africa and the expansion of the blockchain ecosystem, by providing them with opportunities to learn, acquire skills, and contribute to the technology industry by creatively solving challenges through innovation.
Participants will be able to learn the fundamentals of blockchain, discover how others are using crypto in their daily lives, and learn how to store value with crypto and earn on their crypto balances, as well as understand real-world blockchain applications, crypto trading and how it works in simple terms and step-by-step, and gain access to job opportunities.
