In a new collaboration with Unstoppable Domains, Binance users in the US can now register Web3 domains that function as digital identities.
Through a new collaboration with Unstoppable Domains, US users will soon be able to create decentralized domains that will act as digital identities throughout the Web3 ecosystem.
With the new service, customers will be able to create “Binance.US” domains, giving them names for cryptocurrency wallets that are simple to comprehend and use in the Binance.US app to buy, sell, and transfer cryptocurrency.
A digital identity across compatible Web3 services, apps, and platforms is also provided by these particular domains. On April 26, US and Unstoppable Domains announced the service’s launch; it will go live in May.
The Polygon blockchain, which enables the creation of decentralized domains without gas fees or renewal expenses, is where US domains are issued.
Users of Unstoppable Domains will be able to utilize Binance US to withdraw cryptocurrency to a variety of Unstoppable Domains addresses, including.crypto,.nft, and.x domains, thanks to the collaboration.
The availability of digital identity ownership was cited by US Business Development Vice President Nandini Maheshwari as a crucial element in the collaboration with Unstoppable and Polygon:
“Increasing accessibility to Web3 while maintaning a safe and secure ecosystem for customers is at the core of Binance.US’s mission”
Unstoppable Domains will be in charge of keeping everything safe. Only the Binance.US app can be used to create BinanceUS domains. Over the past year, the decentralized domain service provider has collaborated with a number of Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency businesses.
This includes a collaboration with Polygon that enables the creation of “.polygon” Web3 domains. In November, Unstoppable gave 1inch Network users who use decentralized finance (DeFi) a way to send cryptocurrency to Web3 domain names.
As demand for Web3 services increases, Unstoppable Domains and Ethereum Name Service (ENS) have seen exploding user numbers until 2022 and 2023.
