Brain Brooks who replaced Catherine Coley as the the CEO of Binance US, in April has resigned just few months after.

Brian Brooks, the former general counsel of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase who later became Comptroller of the Currency, has resigned as Binance’s CEO. Only a few months after being named as US CEO.
Brooks intimated in a tweet that his surprise retirement was likely due to “differences about strategic direction.”

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said in a statement that he is “confident” in the subsidiary’s business and assures customers that the move would not affect them “in any way.”
In a follow-up tweet, Zhao thanked Brooks for his “invaluable” effort and wished him “all the best.”

After departing the OCC in early May, the former top bank regulator took the post.
His predecessor, Catherine Coley, left Binance.US without making a public announcement. Her abrupt disappearance from social media sparked rumours about her whereabouts.
Binance has been the subject of intense regulatory investigation in a number of nations over the last two months. According to a recent tweet by Zhao, this prompted the exchange to take a proactive approach to regulatory compliance.
