Bitdeer, a provider of cryptocurrency cloud mining services, has finished building a new mining plant in Bhutan.
According to the corporation, towards the end of July they had acquired almost 23,000 newly purchased mining rigs, and another 7,000 were on their way to the Gedu Datacenter.
The power-on testing was already under progress, according to a press release from Bitdeer’s CEO, Linghui Kong. A total of 15,000 more mining devices arrived at the data center in July, bringing the total up to about 11,000 stable miners.
The business operates in three areas: hosting, hash rate sharing, and self-mining. The corporation has been collaborating with the Bhutanese government over the past few months to launch its new mining operation.
Bitdeer wants to increase its footprint in the nation of Southeast Asia. Regarding the potential environmental effects of its new mining plant, the firm has come under fire. Together with its partner Druk, Bitdeer already operates mining data centers in various nations, including the US and Norway.
