The largest manufacturer of Bitcoin (BTC) mining equipment, Bitmain, announced its intention to introduce the Aleo mining device.
Users can create privacy apps on the Aleo network thanks to its full-stack programmability and use of Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology. Aleo wants to build a blockchain network that takes privacy protection, scalability, and decentralization into account.
“The Aleo project deeply uses Zero-Knowledge Proof ( ZKP ) technology and aims to build a blockchain network that takes into account decentralization, scalability, and privacy protection.”
According to earlier reports, the company’s challenging financial circumstances prevented it from paying employees’ salaries in full for September. The business found that its cash flow was negative for the month.
Bitmain also fired three workers for “illegally publishing the company’s salary announcement.” But before the financial issues, Bitmain unveiled a fresh line of S21 installations.
The S21 Antminer HYD, which is the company’s flagship model, delivers a hashrate of 335 TH/s with an energy efficiency of 16 J/TH. Models with air cooling are also part of the series.
With an energy efficiency of less than 20 J/TH, the exhibited ASICs are the first in their class. As a result, Bitmain’s new flagship is now the most potent mining device on the planet. The firm anticipates delivering the initial batches in 2024’s first and second quarters.
