BNB Chain, the decentralized platform for running smart contracts on BSC has announced the commencement of its Zero2Hero hackathon.
The hackathon is an international online competition that encourages programmers to design cutting-edge apps utilizing BNB Chain’s technology.
The network stated that the Zero2Hero hackathon would take place from April 17 to May 14 and feature a total prize fund of $25,000 in a press release issued on March 23. The occasion is a part of the six-month Builders Series for BNB Chain.
An incubation program, a hackathon, and a boot camp are the three components of the series. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Tencent Cloud have all been confirmed as significant strategic technology partners of the BNB Chain Zero2Hero Hackathon.
Also, the event will include participation from Chainlink Labs, Automata Network, Nodereal, Tea, Hacken, RSS3, and PolyhedraZK. Each partner will be in charge of a different aspect of the hackathon, such as infrastructure, development tools, node provision, privacy, security, and social content aggregation.
Participants at the event will get to choose from many courses, including decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), web3 gaming, and SocialFi.
The winner of each track will receive $15,000, while the runners-up and third-place finishers will receive $6,000 and $4,000, respectively. Each track will have its own set of judging standards.
Furthermore, according to BNB Chain, champions of each track will receive direct entry into the incubator program, which will serve as the Builders Series’ penultimate stage.
The curriculum is intended to give developers knowledge about and exposure to important aspects of the business, such as web3 marketing, community building, and tokenomics design.
The purpose of the hackathon is to demonstrate BNB Chain’s potential for creating decentralized applications (dapps). The network makes use of Binance Smart Chain’s (BSC) compatibility and interoperability with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and supports a number of programming languages, including Solidity, Rust, C++, and Go.
Up to 20 sessions exposing the newest technology in the field to crypto aficionados will be included in the hackathon. Moreover, nodes and cloud services will be freely accessible to developers.
Developers can use the BNB Chain technology at the Zero2Hero hackathon to demonstrate their innovation, gain new skills, and connect with other innovators.
Developers must register for the hackathon on the official website and submit their projects by the deadline of April 16 in order to participate. The event’s organizers state that on July 2, 2023, a jury of judges made up of representatives from BNB Chain and its partners will assess the concepts that were submitted and announce the winners.
