The Solana network and Boba Guys have announced a collaboration to create a cutting-edge on-chain loyalty program.
The Solana network is being used by Boba Guys, a well-known beverage retailer with locations in New York and California, to create a blockchain-based loyalty program.
Through a web3-based incentive system, the retail chain, which specialized in bubble tea and has been in business since 2011, hopes to grow its customer base.
To increase client engagement, Boba Guys plans to implement NFTs and token-driven experiences by utilizing the quick and inexpensive network provided by Solana.
Bin Chen, a co-founder of Boba Guys, said that the company was motivated to offer its customers distinctive on-chain experiences as a result of the growing web3 technology market.
Regardless of their level of experience with boba or web3 technologies, Chen also hopes to draw a broad variety of clients. As with boba, Chen said that many customers entering their stores would not be familiar with web3, Solana, or blockchain technologies.
This insight has influenced the way they will incorporate web3 into their operations. In a news statement, Josh Fried, head of commerce business development at the Solana Foundation, claimed that working with Boba Guys would hasten the expansion of web3-based loyalty programs within the Solana ecosystem.
He pointed out that Boba Guys’ innovative ideas for cafes and shops might become the norm in the future. According to Fried, this collaboration will show how loyalty programs can help both customers and retailers while opening the door for other businesses to adopt similar strategies.
Fried also said that Boba Guys has received a $100,000 investment from the Solana Foundation to help with their entry into the web3 market.
