In order to incorporate its augmented reality and recommendation systems into the Sui blockchain, BytePlus has teamed up with Mysten Labs.
Sui was chosen by BytePlus, a ByteDance affiliate, because of its compatibility with social and gaming apps. Sui offers features like sponsored transactions that are intended to make user access simpler and zero-knowledge proofs for user authentication.
BytePlus provides various services, such as data analysis, user interaction tools, personalization solutions, and content distribution networks. Developers on the Sui (SUI) platform will now have access to the services, allowing them to design applications.
One tool that lets developers create customized user experiences is BytePlus Recommend. For video applications, another one, called BytePlus Effects, offers more than 80,000 stickers and effects. These services and Sui’s strategy for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are expected to stimulate the creation of new social applications.
The Sui blockchain had a significant rise once the agreement was announced. SUI is now trading at $1.26, up 5.4% in the past day, and has a market capitalization of about $1.63 billion, according to CoinGecko.
The possibility of offering these services on a decentralized network may be helpful as the US government threatens to ban TikTok, ByteDance’s subsidiary social media platform.
