Catizen Community members of the anticipated the Catizen airdrop; however, they were recently incensed by certain modifications.
Pluto Studio, the developer of the tap-to-earn game, revealed the number of tokens that players will receive when the CATI token for the Telegram game is eventually launched on The Open Network (TON) on Saturday.
The community was displeased by this action, as many contend that this information should have been disclosed to players before the launch. Additionally, the token’s value is still being determined by participants prior to its eventual launch in a few days.
Obstacles to the Catizen Token Launch
In recent weeks, the CATI airdrop has encountered numerous obstacles. Catizen had intended to introduce its CATI token in July. The developers acknowledged that the airdrop was delayed at some point, citing the necessity of optimizing key components to ensure a successful token listing. Pluto Studio clarified that they were in the process of securing an appropriate listing price, offering multiple trading options, and being listed on major exchanges.
Furthermore, the team encountered additional obstacles, including inadequate market sentiment and compliance. The participants’ most recent surprise has resulted in some backlash, with the majority expressing their disappointment in X. These participants are dissatisfied with the fact that their portion of the rewards was less than anticipated.
Catizen will have a total supply of 1 billion tokens, as per the project’s design. At commencement, 305 million tokens will be allocated to the circulating supply from this bag.
This is particularly disheartening for certain players who have been working diligently in the Telegram puzzle game, anticipating that they would receive a more significant portion of the prize. A participant expressed his dissatisfaction by requesting transparency.
“I am ranked 6,054 out of 36 million players, but I have only received 39 CATI.” How can this be referred to as an equitable distribution? “We require transparency regarding token allocation,” the player stated.
The Hashtag #Catizenscam is Employed by Aggrieved CATI Players
The #catizenscam hashtag, which is currently trending on X, was initiated by these participants in response to their grievances.
Other modifications to the token distribution model and allocation criteria that were not previously disclosed to participants are in addition to the issue of the number of tokens allocated. The intention was to allocate 43% of the token supply to the community from the outset.
Nevertheless, Catizen developers clarified over the weekend that 43% of the supply will be allocated to the “airdrop and ecosystem.” This encompasses the 90 million tokens, which represent 9% of the total supply, that the team intends to distribute to Binance customers who stake coins through a Launchpool rewards campaign. It is important to mention that the team only recently announced this promotion on Friday.
The recent announcement indicates that only approximately 30% of the supply will be available for circulation at the time of introduction, which has prompted numerous inquiries from players.
In the interim, Pluto Studio announced an additional modification to the airdrop’s design in order to address the issue of players who have employed artificial methods to increase their earnings.
