Gods Unchained, a web3 digital trading card game developed by Immutable Games, has gained a larger audience with its recent release on the popular Epic Games Store.
The store has a user base of 230 million and 34.3 million daily active users as of 2022, which significantly expands the potential player base for Gods Unchained.
Gods Unchained was launched in June 2019 and offers a unique gameplay experience where players build decks of collectible cards and engage in combat with other players.
Significantly, each card represents a non-fungible token (NFT) that traders can trade on the Immutable X marketplace, which functions on the Ethereum Layer-2 network.
By debuting on the Epic Games Store, Gods Unchained aims to compete with other well-known online Trading Card Games (TCG) such as Hearthstone, Legends of Runeterra, and Magic: The Gathering.
Daniel Paez, the Executive Producer of Gods Unchained, expressed his delight in reaching a larger audience of conventional PC players and TCG fans.
He sees this shift as an important milestone for the game and emphasized the value of consolidated platforms that provide quality and security for gamers.
In conjunction with its release on the Epic Games Store, Gods Unchained plans to implement several modifications to enhance the user experience. One notable addition is the “Sealed” game option, commonly found in popular trading card games, which allows players to engage in a gauntlet run without the usual deckbuilding constraints.
They can continue playing until they win seven times or lose three times. The game’s roadmap, released in May, also outlines plans for new game types and a mobile launch.
Gods Unchained has introduced a program for content creators, empowering and encouraging them through creative authority, awards, collaboration opportunities, and recognition.
Soon, Gods Unchained will expand its market reach by launching on iOS and Android. Partner studio iLogos recorded 60,000 playing sessions, enabling the game’s mobile release through successful testing on Android.
