The University of Southern California and Helium Mobile have teamed up to sponsor the USC Trojans, one of the school’s teams.
Helium Mobile, a blockchain-powered company, announced the sponsorship agreement on September 26.
According to the Helium Network-related platform, stadium branding, giveaways, and fan interaction are all part of the USC Trojans collaboration.
Helium claims that as part of the new agreement, the university’s football and basketball teams will engage in branding and other events at home games in 2024–25.
The collaboration will also focus on fan experiences, providing USC Trojans supporters with information on Helium, its neighborhood, and its phone plans.
Additionally, fans will discover more about Helium Mobile’s hotspots. The collaboration will be introduced to the USC community for the first time during the USC vs. Wisconsin football game on September 28.
Helium Mobile Offers Crypto Incentives
The Helium Network offers community-driven connectivity, and its product is designed to be used with some of the most widely used apps, such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The mobile phone plan uses a 5G network and is set at $20 per month for unlimited voice, data, and text.
Users and Hotspot operators can receive incentives through Helium’s cryptocurrency rewards program in exchange for promoting network expansion.
Helium Mobile launched its tech stack licensing program in June 2023 to create a cooperative environment that fosters growth and places manufacturers at the center of connecting more people.
The blockchain-based platform Nova Labs and the telecom company Telefónica are two of the many partners assisting Helium Mobile in its growth.
Moreover, Solana Pay added a mobile payment option to Shopify, giving Hotspot users still another method of payment.
