IBM has unveiled the IBM Hyper Protect Offline Signing Orchestrator (OSO), a new crypto cold storage technology.
This technology improves the security of digital asset transactions in cold storage by keeping digital assets isolated from online environments and reducing the dangers usually associated with handling them by hand.
IBM’s partnership with Metaco, a top provider of digital asset custody and an IBM Business Partner, produced the OSO technology. The OSO solution will be integrated with Metaco’s Harmonize platform, which is well-known for its reliable and secure digital asset orchestration system.
The technology operates in independent Hyper Protect Virtual Server settings and connects two essential Metaco Harmonize components. The Harmonize Cold Vault maintains isolation to provide increased security, while the Harmonize Core handles signing requests from outside sources.
Adrien Treccani, the founder and CEO of Metaco, highlighted the organization’s dedication to providing its clients, which consists of eminent international banks and custodians, with top-notch digital asset security solutions.
Treccani also mentioned how stronger cold storage solutions are becoming more and more necessary due to rising regulatory requirements in countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Transaction security has advanced significantly with the integration of OSO with Metaco Harmonize. The new system provides an advanced substitute for physically air-gapped cold storage methods.
