Ethereum purchases are now possible for consumers in the U.S thanks to a partnership between PayPal and crypto wallet service MetaMask.
According to the company, this makes it the first web3 wallet to support such PayPal transactions. Because of their partnership, MetaMask and PayPal customers in the United States may use PayPal as their payment method when buying Ethereum via MetaMask.
This cooperation also makes it easier to move Ethereum from the payment platform to MetaMask. Users may enter their MetaMask account via the browser extension, mobile app, or MetaMask Portfolio to access this function by clicking “BUY.”
Thanks to the new connection, users will be able to add ETH to their MetaMask wallet using their PayPal balance, connected bank account, or debit card. Although this function is accessible across the U.S, it is essential to note that Hawaii is an exception.
The latest “Buy Crypto” function, which enables users to buy over 90 tokens across eight different networks with various payment options, including debit or credit cards, bank transfers, PayPal, and immediate ACH, is followed by this cooperation.
Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche Contract Chain, Fantom, Optimis, and Celo are among the eight distinct networks. The agreement is another significant breakthrough for the cryptocurrency sector and it represents a step closer to the widespread acceptance of cryptocurrencies.
It is one of several initiatives to enable customers “to buy cryptocurrency seamlessly”. MetaMask facilitates access to the usage of cryptocurrencies by allowing users to buy ETH using the payment platform. This might inspire more individuals to investigate the web3 ecosystem.
