The Solana Mobile Saga has been deemed the worst phone of 2023 by the preeminent technology reviewer MKBDH on YouTube.
The Solana Mobile device Saga, which was recently sold out on the protocol’s official website, has been deemed by renowned technology reviewer Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) as the worst phone of 2023.
The Saga Review by MKBDH
The widely recognized YouTuber evaluated the much-discussed cryptocurrency device and deemed it the “Worst New Phone of 2023.” Ultimately, he drew a parallel between purchasing the Saga phone and investing in a Times share, stating:
“it might seem like a good idea for like two seconds, but the second you actually do it, you realize how horrible of an idea it was.”
MKBHD informed the audience that he would not recommend purchasing the phone at the current price. Curiously, this occurred just a few days after eBay advertised the device for as much as $5000 during a surge in demand. This was a surprise, given that Solana had previously priced the phone at $599.
After it was revealed that every newly purchased Solana Saga phone included a complimentary 30 million Bonk (BONK) token, demand for the device skyrocketed. Investors concluded that the memecoin might be more valuable than the phone over the long term, as evidenced by its recent price breakout.
Can Solana Mobile Remedy Saga’s Defects?
The review posted by the YouTuber implies that the phone’s design might contain significant deficiencies. Solana Saga, a 6.67-inch OLED display, Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of Flash, was developed with cryptocurrency-firstness. The mobile devices are equipped with SMS functionality and OSOM Privacy inputs.
Some identified by MKBHD are probably associated likely with these specifications. Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, responded to the DEGEN News review that was published on the X app.
It is uncertain whether or not the blockchain company and the design team responsible for the Saga phone will revisit their plans to address the concerns raised in this review, which is still being determined. As Yakovenko previously alluded, doing so could allow it to surpass market leaders over the long haul.
Before this, the cybersecurity firm CertiK had expressed some apprehensions regarding the Saga mobile’s security, but Solana quickly refuted the allegation.
At a minimum, this could be an opportune moment to revisit that concern and others associated with Solana interruptions on a larger scale to assuage the apprehensions of phone purchasers.
