Blockchain networks and music communities are coming together for an NFT drop that includes icons like Snoop Dogg and Billy Ray Cyrus.
The next generation of Web3 is being ushered in by nonfungible tokens (NFTs), who place utility and community creation at the forefront. This is accomplished by a new collection from the Mint NFT market and metaverse entertainment platform Animal Concerts, which spans a variety of musical genres and blockchain networks.
Snoop Dogg, a crypto-savvy hip-hop celebrity, is included in the album “A Hard Working Man,” along with Billy Ray Cyrus and the Avila Brothers, two legends of country music. The collection includes standout physical-digital interactions with digital artwork as well as benefits for attending live concerts.
Colin Fitzpatrick, the founder and CEO of Animal Concerts, highlighted the “major existing fan bases” of all three artists involved in the collection and how Web3 provides these existing communities the tools to evolve. The new Minted Launchpad platform will host the debut of this cross-genre collaboration.
Since it enables users to mint, buy, and trade NFTs, which are native to both the Ethereum and Cronos blockchains, Minted Launchpad is in line with the concept of cross-genre cooperation. At the conclusion of Q4 2022, a limited number of people will also be able to mint on Crypto.com NFT. Such collections not only bridge gaps between genres and blockchains but, as Matt Wan, the director of Minted, commented:
“[It] will also serve to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3 users.”
Users active on the Minted launchpad platform will also be able to browse digital asset collections from both ecosystems. Initially, “A Hard Working Man” was announced in April of this year. Snoop Dogg is well recognized for his involvement in the cryptocurrency community through a number of NFT initiatives and even for converting Bored Ape Yacht Club avatars into a music video.
In a similar vein, NFTs have catered to followers of a variety of genres, including opera, with NFTs concentrating on the classical music community, and country music with Dolly Parton’s Dollyverse. However, this fusion of country and hip-hop highlights how Web3 can take fan bases that are generally unique to their own genres and create completely new communities. Listeners and admirers can be turned into an active ecosystem by use of tools like music NFTs.
