WME Signs With Non-Fungible Heroes
WME has signed the NFT project Non-Fungible Heroes as the agency continues to diversify its portfolio of blockchain-related IP.
The NFT project began as an NFT collection with “heroes” and “villains” characters, led by CEO Michael Schaiman.
The collection aims to bring NFT holders into the fold by granting them intellectual property rights to the characters, allowing them to create backstories and traits for their characters, and collaborating with a team of artists and writers to develop those ideas into new storylines, games, and comics.
Non-Fungible Heroes Released Night Ape
The NFT project released the first issue of a digital comic, Night Ape, last month, which was distributed to all NFT holders for free. In May, the second issue is expected to be released.
The comic was created in collaboration with Non-Fungible Films, a separate entertainment studio specializing in web3 projects that have also partnered with WME on production.
Cameron Moulene’s studio has also partnered with other companies to develop projects in film, television, and gaming based on IP that began as NFTs. Non-Fungible Films is also working on a series of animated shows based on licensed characters from the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
