Mobile game studio Azur Games is collaborating with the Web3 gaming ecosystem Pixelverse to improve Telegram mini-games.
Pixelverse disclosed its intention to unveil a new mobile game in collaboration with Azur Games on August 8. The game will include characters from the Pixelverse.
The partnership aims to create mini-games that feature sophisticated gameplay and “bridge the gap” between traditional mobile gaming and Web3.
Kori Leon, the co-founder of Pixelverse, stated to Cointelegraph that, despite the current popularity of clicker games, there would be an “inevitable transition” to other categories.
Leon thinks that founders must consistently engage their audience with innovative mechanisms. Leon elaborated:
“While historical games might remain popular, new gameplay and token distribution mechanics, such as airdrops within the TON [The Open Network and Telegram ecosystem, must emerge to maintain community interest.”
The executive emphasized the importance of developing captivating gameplay for clicker games to sustain the engagement of players and ensure their longevity.
Leon also noted that clicker games frequently commence with their straightforward mechanics and immediate rewards, but they can rapidly become monotonous if they do not undergo continuous development.
Leon is also of the opinion that the success of Telegram would be contingent upon the platform’s social dynamics rather than solely on the game. The executive thinks that capitalize on the messaging platform’s social characteristics by providing airdrops to individuals who submit stories.
Leon predicts that the Pixelverse ecosystem will transform, with stronger integrations with Web3 and The Open Network (TON) and gameplay improvements. The executive said it will incorporate blockchain components offering distinctive transactions and in-game assets.
Leon further stated that it would provide players with novel methods of interacting with the game and one another.
Gameplay In Telegram games
Leon also addressed the “farmer community” in his final message. Leon emphasizes that participation is paramount when engaging in games on Telegram. He elaborated:
“There is a cognitive bias among users who play games to earn rewards, making it important to manage expectations and be mindful of your time while playing games pre-listing. In traditional investments, you invest money to make money.”
Leon also mentioned that in play-to-earn models, such as tap-to-earn, users invest time to earn money. Leon believes gamers must ascertain whether they genuinely enjoy the game before devoting their time to it.
“If you are not fond of the game, it is advisable to set realistic expectations and consider it an opportunity to acquire knowledge about cryptocurrency,” he explained.
