The Polygon project released the fifth iteration of Polygon ID, a web3 identification service.
With the tool, apps can validate user data without disclosing the users’ private information. Interoperability and identification reuse are made possible by Polygon (MATIC) ID.
In line with the blog post, information can be used again endlessly as long as the issuer does not withdraw it and the owner receives it from the issuer.
Also, according to the W3C VC standard, identity data can also be exchanged with third parties. There are now more and a wider range of possible accounts in the fifth version.
The update’s developers included a new credential marketplace, enhancements for the issuer node, and a new network issuer. The process of creating an account is made simpler and more flexible by the additional features.
Polygon launched Polygon ID, a web3 identity service, at the beginning of March. Users can verify accounts with its assistance without revealing personal information.
With this kind of innovation, user data on the blockchain may be verified while privacy is preserved. The so-called zero-knowledge technology is employed by it.
