Shibarium, the Layer 2 blockchain solution for Shiba Inu, will launch its mainnet at the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto this August.
Enhancing Shiba Inu Ecosystem with Scalability and Utility
Shibarium is a Layer 2 blockchain solution built to enhance the Shiba Inu ecosystem by providing scalability, speed, and low fees. Operating on the Ethereum blockchain, Shibarium leverages its security and infrastructure while enabling off-chain transaction processing.
As part of its ecosystem, Shibarium introduces BONE as its native gas token, increasing utility and value for the token. It also facilitates yield-generating activities like staking and farming for SHIB, LEASH, and BONE holders.
In addition to its financial features, Shibarium supports the development of decentralized applications (dApps) in various domains, including gaming, social media, and metaverse platforms, utilizing Shibarium Tech.
Originally proposed by Ryoshi, the anonymous creator of Shiba Inu, Shibarium aims to achieve true decentralization and reduce reliance on Ethereum’s high gas fees. Future plans may involve establishing bridges with other ecosystems.
Blockchain Futurist Conference: Shiba Inu’s big event
Shibarium is expected to launch its mainnet at the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto, Canada, on August 15-16, 2023.
The conference is one of Canada’s largest blockchain and cryptocurrency events, with over 6,000 attendees. Shiba Inu is one of the lead sponsors of the conference and will have a strong presence at the event.
Shiba Inu will display two booths, a VIP cabana, and various Shibarium and Shib-themed products, platforms, and services. The conference will also host a multi-month hackathon for Shibarium.
The conference will also feature the unveiling of the World paper, the updated version of the Woof paper that outlines the vision and roadmap of the Shiba Inu project.
The World paper will reveal all the Shib-branded projects that have been developed or launched.
One of the most anticipated projects is Treat, a decentralized exchange (DEX) allowing users to swap tokens within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Treat will also have a governance token called TREAT that will give holders voting rights and rewards.
The conference will also feature the announcement of new partners and projects that have joined or collaborated with Shibarium.
Some confirmed partners include Unification, BadIdea.Ai, DoraHacks, Polygon Labs, and Rainmaker.
Moreover, Shib will speak virtually (via AI) at a conference for the first time. Shib will also sponsor the event’s final party.
The developers believe the conference will provide a much-needed atmosphere to share such good news and strengthen Shib’s position as a major player in cryptocurrency.
This is a significant undertaking for Shib, as it coincides with their third anniversary and the birthplace of Eth.
