One of the largest blockchain networks Solana has been experiencing network issues for some time now, in a bid to better serve its user, the network’s engineers have upgraded it to version 1.8.14.
After several days of decreased performance and congestion, the Solana blockchain has been updated to version 1.8.14. Users discovered challenges with transaction processing and network congestion while the blockchain was not under a significant strain at the start of the year, prompting the first reports of network troubles.
Another “Ethereum killer’s” developers intend to deploy more performance enhancements in the following 8-12 weeks. While developers anticipate further network improvements and services, third-party services such as cross-chain bridge Wormhole continue to warn their customers about the possibility of transactions being refused by the network.
Previously, Evan Van Ness, a well-known Solana critic and the founder of WeekInEthNew, pointed up various flaws in the SOL network. Van Ness has also made a number of comments regarding the Solana network having its own “status” website.
Web2 frequently employs “status” websites to keep users informed about the network’s present state. While the solution is widely used by centralized Web2 networks and services, it is only known to exist in a handful of blockchain-related initiatives.
The current troubles with the Solana network aren’t the first to plague the “blockchain of the future,” as U.today earlier claimed that the network was brought down by a “DDOs attack.”
