Treasure DAO announced plans to migrate from Arbitrum to ZKsync after 99.5% of community members approved the proposal.
Treasure, a decentralized gaming ecosystem, intends to migrate from the Arbitrum blockchain to ZKsync. The decision was announced via its X account following an “overwhelming” vote from Treasure DAO community members.
The proposal, which incorporates the launch of the Treasure L2 as a component of the ZKsync ecosystem, was approved by 99.5% of voters, according to the DAO.
Treasure DAO Implements ZKsync’s ZK Stack Technology
Earlier in the month, Treasure DAO submitted a proposal that expressed its interest in migrating to ZKsync. The decision is consistent with the organization’s objectives to enhance security and scalability, as ZKsync’s ZK Stack technology provides precisely those capabilities.
However, it is important to note that the DAO originally intended to utilize Arbitrum Orbit to accomplish this objective. Nevertheless, it was discovered that ZKsync’s infrastructure was a more suitable alternative for its long-term objectives after conducting a comprehensive review.
Although the DAO intends to leverage the migration to enhance its performance, scalability, and interoperability, it also aspires to the indirect benefit of enhancing the platform’s suitability for the increasing number of blockchain-based games in its ecosystem.
The mainnet is anticipated to be launched within the next two months.
It is anticipated that a new public testnet, Topaz, will be launched in the near future. This testnet will provide developers and players with an opportunity to investigate the new environment and enhance it prior to the final mainnet launch.
However, it is anticipated that the mainnet will be launched in no more than two months. The DAO’s official announcement is as follows:
“The mainnet is targeted to launch within the next 1.5 to 2 months.”
In the interim, Treasure DAO is also considering conducting a token swap as part of the migration procedure. This exchange will occur between the ZKsync Foundation and its ecosystem.
The organization has stated that this exchange is a critical stage that will occur in the near future. The special attention to the trade may be unstable, as it will facilitate the seamless transfer of assets and guarantee the continued functionality of its platform on the new blockchain.
Lastly, Treasure DAO has verified that it is collaborating with more than ten blockchain games on its web3 gaming console. Its objective is to facilitate the seamless transition of these games, which includes both developers and users.
The gaming community can anticipate that the migration to ZKsync will optimize the user experience, according to the organization. In other words, without interfering with ongoing development or gameplay endeavors.
