Visa is looking for new college graduates to join its 18-month rotational Crypto Development Program, according to a recent job advertising. Furthermore, eligibility only applies to those who completed or will complete a bachelor’s program between December 2021 and August 2022.
Applicants will rotate through Visa’s current crypto ecosystem’s three departments: crypto product, crypto solutions, and digital partnership, where they will receive training, development, mentoring, networking, and leadership exposure in addition to actual industry experience.
Eligibility and Responsibilities for the role
Although those studying liberal arts, business, computer science, and allied subjects are preferred, the job listing does not specify any specific majors.
Furthermore, only those who completed or will complete a bachelor’s program between December 2021 and August 2022 are eligible.
Building subject matter expertise in certain areas of crypto, understanding how to build new products within Visa, knowing how crypto companies function, supporting product collaborations, and learning about new crypto business models are some of the more notable responsibilities.
Visa in the crypto space
Visa has made small but steady moves into the crypto space over the last year, including announcing a new crypto consulting service for merchants and banks, working on a blockchain interoperability hub for crypto payments, and partnering with crypto enterprise payment platforms to expand credit options for businesses.
Across more than 200 countries, the payment solutions company enables 215 billion transactions between consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and government bodies each year.
Visa executives also remarked on the company’s attitude toward stablecoins in July 2021, saying:
“Stablecoins are on track to become an important part of the broader digital transformation of financial services, and Visa is excited to help shape and support that development,”
