Xumm Developers have improved the user experience with Xahau Signing while also planning additional Ledger wallet enhancements.
One of the developers contributing to the XRP Ledger, WietseWind, took to the X app to announce the most recent updates on the ledger.
New Upgrade to Key Smart Contract Tool
The developer stated that he and another developer, Denis Angell, updated the Xahau signing functionality for smart contracts.
According to a post by WietseWind on X, his primary duty throughout the upgrade was integrating clients, whereas Denis was responsible for the Ledger firmware.
They successfully executed the Xahau signing, significantly increasing the volume of XRPL native transactions to the Ledger hardware wallet.
Additionally, he asserted that they acquired knowledge regarding the XRPL implementation procedure through the Xahau signing update.
Having completed the Xahau update, these developers are now anticipating the implementation of Automated Market Maker (AMM) and other modifications to Ledger.
Significantly, XRPL Labs recently declared the launch of Xahau Ledger, an XRP smart contract sidechain.
The introduction of this protocol has predicated the anticipation of numerous new features within the XRPL ecosystem.
Additionally, the adoption of XRP and XRPL increased.
In conjunction with the ongoing improvements in the network, XRPL Labs, the creator of the XRPL self-custody wallet Xumm, declared its involvement in disseminating a whitepaper regarding the Xahau Ledger.
Xahau Sidechain and Troves Of Amendment
In the following months, Xahau Sidechain conducted and concluded a thorough audit of its codebase, Xahaud.
From October 1 to October 27, 2023, FYEO, one of Xahau’s initial Governance Game Validator Seats and Security partners, conducted the audit.
The fundamental aims of the audit were to evaluate Xahau Sidechain’s security vulnerability and internal risks and render expert opinions on the effectiveness and sufficiency of the existing security measures.
As a result of the audit evaluations, the final objective was to identify problems and supply suggestions for improvement.
Apprehensions arose within the XRP community as members hypothesized that introducing the Xahau Sidechain might divert the attention of XRP developers, ultimately leading to their withdrawal from the undertaking.
Despite their validity, these concerns did not impede the implementation of the smart chain.
Multiple amendments, including REMIT, have been incorporated since its inception.
The REMIT amendment includes several new features, including an innovative payment transformer enabling the Xahau implementation of the XLS-55d proposal for XRPL-like networks.
The increased adoption of XRPL is probably due to the Xumm developers’ impending decision to make additional amendments.
