According to a statement from Yuga Labs, the Otherside blockchain gaming metaverse’s second test will launch on March 25.
Holders of Otherdeed NFTs will take part in a metaverse-based interactive gaming event coordinated by Otherside Team Captains. The second test event of the Otherside metaverse will go live on Mar. 25, with the precise time to be released later, according to a statement from Yuga Labs, the company behind the well-known non-fungible token (NFT) collections, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).
The Otherdeed NFT holders and Otherside users (voyagers) will take part in an interactive game experience in the metaverse under the direction of its team captains, according to the release from the blockchain technology company, which recently finished the auction of its bitcoin-powered TwelveFold NFTs.
Holders of Otherdeed will receive privileged entry and can invite a guest to the next second trip event. To allow players from all around the world to take part in the competition, Yuga Labs is also trying to increase the number of nations it supports.
A Mailchimp data breach happened at the blockchain technology company in January. The company will release the link to the second trip event via its official social media accounts and blog in order to make it more difficult for scammers to use its forthcoming event to perpetrate fraud.
The Otherside metaverse was introduced by Yuga Labs last March after a $450 million funding round lead by Andreessen Horowitz and other investors.
Although Yuga Labs’ NFT and metaverse journey has been incredibly successful so far, the company has also drawn its fair share of criticism and even lawsuits.
In a trademark infringement case involving the BAYC collection, Thomas Lehman and Yuga Laboratories recently negotiated an out-of-court settlement.
Ten trademark petitions were denied by the corporation due to copyright violations, and the company has just been charged with intellectual property theft.
