In a groundbreaking partnership, the Macao Judiciary Police extended an invitation to Binance to conduct their first in-person law enforcement training course.

This initiative represents a substantial advancement in Binance’s ongoing endeavors to fortify global partnerships with law enforcement agencies.

The training seeks to improve law enforcement personnel’s awareness and capabilities in combating cryptocurrency-related cybercrime and financial fraud, highlighting Binance’s commitment to supporting security and compliance in the digital asset business.

Binance Commitment to Safeguarding Security

The Binance CEO earlier said in their 200M user milestone AMA session that the company prioritizes partnering with various administrations to increase awareness of crypto and blockchain.

In line with this, Binance is committed to improving security in the blockchain ecosystem and the broader digital space.

Proactively, Binance has been conducting training programs worldwide to provide law enforcement agencies and their officers with the most up-to-date blockchain knowledge and investigation techniques.

Binance was recently invited by the Macao Judiciary Police to conduct a training course for officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and the Gaming-related and Economic Crimes Investigation Department. This invitation was a source of great honor for Binance.

This occasion was Binance’s first offline law enforcement training course in Macao, and it was a significant milestone in their ongoing dedication to fostering a close relationship with the law enforcement community in the region.

On May 21, the Macao Judiciary Police College convened the course, which welcomed more than 40 participants from the Criminal Investigation Department and the Gaming-related and Economic Crimes Investigation Department.

A specialist from Binance’s investigation team, Carlos Mak, conducted the training course.

Additionally, a spokesperson for the Macao Judiciary Police stated, “We are committed to combating digital-age criminal activities by enhancing our crime prevention strategies and professional training. Binance’s willingness to share insights on blockchain and virtual-asset investigations is invaluable, and we look forward to further cooperation.”

Meanwhile, to give it a final wrap, one of Binance reps Carlos Mak added, “We are honored to conduct this first in-person course with Macao law enforcement officers. The opportunity to share our knowledge heartens us. Deepening cooperation with global law enforcement underlies Binance’s commitment to protecting users and combating financial crime.”

Expanding Global Training Efforts

This training course is a component of Binance’s global initiatives to improve the safety and stability of the entire Web3 ecosystem and to fortify its collaboration with law enforcement agencies.

In 2023, Binance conducted more than 120 law enforcement training sessions or seminars on a global scale.

Last month, Binance conducted the first-ever online Law Enforcement Training Day, which attracted more than 1,300 law enforcement officers from worldwide.

However, this reflects the growing attention of the global law enforcement community on virtual asset-related offenses, underscoring the critical importance of and necessity of such initiatives.

By sharing expertise and resources with law enforcement agencies worldwide, Binance has demonstrated its dedication to promoting a secure digital environment through its participation in these training sessions.

This collaborative approach guarantees that officers are more adept at managing the intricacies of virtual asset-related offenses, thereby contributing to the overarching objective of safeguarding the digital asset industry and protecting users worldwide.
