Botanix Labs partners with Ankr and Asphere to develop Spiderchain, a new Bitcoin Layer 2 solution for improved accessibility, scalability, and reliability.
The objective of this collaboration is to improve the accessibility, scalability, and reliability of Bitcoin for both developers and consumers within the Spiderchain ecosystem.
Botanix Labs is at the forefront of infrastructure development to transform Bitcoin from a mere sound money into a programmable layer that is essential for the future of finance.
Their innovative approach entails the development of Spiderchain, the first entirely decentralized EVM-equivalent L2 on Bitcoin.
This layer utilizes the security and decentralization of Bitcoin’s Proof-of-Work (PoW) as a foundational settlement layer, in conjunction with a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus model.
Through a network of decentralized multisigs, Bitcoin will be securely staked on Spiderchain, allowing anyone to stake their BTC on the Bitcoin network.
In order to construct Spiderchain, Botanix Labs needed sophisticated solutions, such as engineering assistance from a leading Web3 infrastructure provider, Layer 2 design and staking expertise, and high-performance RPC node operations for developers, according to the company.
The optimal partners for this endeavor were Ankr and Asphere, due to their extensive experience in blockchain solutions.
Botanix Labs receives customized services from Ankr and Asphere, which encompass engineering support for developing the Spiderchain L2.
Botanix Labs is receiving assistance from their team, which has a history of collaborating with prominent blockchain companies such as Microsoft, Binance, and Polygon, to develop a customized architecture for Spiderchain.
This entails the network operation to guarantee its seamless operation, as well as the implementation of mechanisms such as staking, consensus, and multi-sigs.
Ankr and Asphere will deploy and operate a global network of Spiderchain nodes. Developers will be able to establish connections to the blockchain by providing public and private endpoints by this network.
The Spiderchain mainnet nodes will be able to interact with developers’ wallets, command-line interfaces, and decentralized applications (dApps) through the Vital Remote Procedure Call (RPC) connections.
Ankr and Asphere were chosen by Botanix Labs due to their exceptional experience in the development of scalable blockchain infrastructure across a variety of ecosystems.
Their blockchain design and development expertise perfectly aligns with Botanix Labs’ vision for the expeditious and seamless development of the Bitcoin L2 solution.
