A testnet with incentives has been released by Chromia, a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform, with a prize pool of 250,000 CHR tokens.
Users and developers will test Chromia’s capabilities in various sectors, including gaming, real-world assets (RWAs), digital collectibles, and sports. Before the platform’s mainnet launch, testnet users can engage with decentralized apps (dApps), earn native CHR tokens, and use Chromia’s official wallet.
The testing program will include three separate projects, each of which will have its own dedicated network using Chromia’s mainnet candidate release, according to a press release. Alex Mizrahi, co-founder of Chromia, said in a statement:
“Ahead of the mainnet release, this is an opportunity to showcase the robustness and reliability of our technology while also giving our loyal community the chance to contribute to shaping the future of the Chromia ecosystem”
Initiatives for the Chromia Testnet
HackNet, ProjectNet, and QuestNet are Chromia’s initial two testnet projects. Hacknet provides a chance for programmers and other individuals with a technological mindset.
These users will offer comments on edge cases and assist in evaluating Chromia’s core functionality. Over the following two weeks, there will be incentives totaling 100,000 CHR through this campaign.
The group had planned for HackNet to terminate on June 28, which was also the date when Trail of Bits’ third-party audit was scheduled to conclude.
Thanks to this, Chromia should be able to assess community feedback and assist in establishing a schedule for the mainnet launch. In contrast, ProjectNet is intended for developers who wish to integrate Rell with Chromia.
Until July 26, 2024, developers may submit their decentralized applications (dApps) to Chromia. The top three projects will split this category’s 50,000 CHR reward fund.
The goal of QuestNet, which opens on June 18, is to reward regular users. Delivering an intuitive dashboard enabling users to engage with dApps and network features like the Chromia Vault with ease is the project’s main goal. The prize pool for QuestNet is 100,000 CHR.
