Digital Shovel announced the latest evolution of its MiniPOD line of modular cryptocurrency mining data centers, the S300 MiniPOD.
The new item is intended to save transportation costs, enhance portability, and increase cryptocurrency miners’ profitability. The S300 MiniPOD is a mobile device that only takes two people and no special tools to install on-site in four hours after being received in flat pack form.
A forklift can easily move the unit, enabling miners to transfer their operations to a location near inexpensive and plentiful power sources. Numerous characteristics of the S300 MiniPOD improve the effectiveness and performance of cryptocurrency mining.
Four direct drive fans increase the airflow from 60,000 cubic feet per minute (CFM) to 88,000 CFM, a 32% increase over prior models. By doing this, the mining equipment can be cooled down and kept from overheating.
The machine also incorporates a two-stage air intake filtering system for dust and debris protection. The system has a primary filter with a longer lifespan and a one-inch pre-filter that can be replaced from outside the pod.
The PDUs (automated power distribution units) also allow for remote management and monitoring of electrical systems. Up to 300 ASIC miners or 600 GPUs can fit in the S300 MiniPOD.
The unit can be joined with additional units to create a longer chain of data centers, giving miners the flexibility and efficiency to scale their operations. The new product is also cost-effective with less material usage and a 60% decrease in shipping costs from Digital Shovel to the deployment location.
Due to the vertically integrated production facilities of Digital Shovel in North America, the unit is also 35% less expensive than similar goods on the market.
A Canadian business called Digital Shovel offers complete infrastructure solutions for crypto mining. Since 2017, the business has led the modular approach to cryptocurrency mining data centers.
Products from the company have been used in many countries worldwide, including Canada, the US, Australia, Africa, and Europe. The S300 MiniPOD, according to the CEO and founder of the business, Scot Johnson, represents cutting-edge mining and enables customers to continue realizing maximum efficiency and profit wherever they set up their data centers.
