Immutable and Altura, a web3 infrastructure platform targeted at the gaming sector, have announced a strategic alliance.
An announcement states that Immutable and Altura will work together to launch a new marketplace and products intended to improve the blockchain gaming industry’s player-driven economy.
Through the agreement, Immutable’s Passport and Checkout infrastructure will be extended to the Ethereum gaming ecosystem and integrated into other gaming ventures.
Immutable’s zkEVM Main Quest initiative will now include Web3 gaming applications on Altura. Altura will donate $5 million to the project, supporting player rewards.
With up to $50 million set aside for player incentives, Main Quest is the biggest rewards program in the web3 gaming industry. The initiative supports more than 300 financed games.
By partnering with Altura, we stand to onboard the next generation of games currently in development while also giving studios access to our Main Quest Rewards program, opening the door for a brand new audience of players to start playing on Immutable,” said Robbie Ferguson, co-founder and president of Immutable
Features like asset tracking, zkEVM integration, and technical support will be helpful to Immutable and Altura developers.
The alliance with Altura comes after Yield Guild Games and Immutable worked together on another significant project.
Immutable’s next move to speed up game acceptance throughout the ecosystem is to collaborate with the web3 guild protocol.
In order to increase player benefits, YGG and Immutable will invest $1 million in the collaboration. Gamers will receive YGG and IMX awards.
While YGG is up almost 8% as of this writing, the price of IMX has increased by 6% over the last day.
