MetaMask expands its global reach with significant alliances in Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt, and Chile.
The well-known software cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask announced new collaborations in Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt, and Chile in a post on X on December 8.
MetaMask is collaborating with the following companies: Thai QR in Thailand, GCash in the Philippines, QRIS in Indonesia, VietQR and Mobile Money in Vietnam, Vodafone Cash in Egypt, and Webpay in Chile, as mentioned in the announcement. These partnerships give users access to localized options.
Thanks to strategic partnerships with Unlimit, a borderless payment solution, and TransFi, MetaMask has expanded its reach to Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea.
It also provides extra support for local transactions in these countries. It is confirmed that the Buy aggregator feature can be accessed directly within the MetaMask Portfolio and through several MetaMask platforms, such as the mobile app and browser extension.
MetaMask recently had transaction problems for mobile users on v7.9.0 and growth announcements. As a precaution, MetaMask advised mobile users to update their apps as soon as possible to the most recent version, 7.10.0, following the issue fix on November 15. In a post on November 14, the wallet provider stated that the problem with the prior version had only affected a small number of customers.
