Yuga Labs enriches Moonbirds with exclusive NFT rights, 3D avatars, and tangible items for a more engaging user experience.
The copyright model of the Moonbirds NFT collection has undergone notable modifications, as announced. Yuga Labs now owns the collection, which stated that holders would want exclusive rights to market their NFTs.
The prior Creative Commons CC0 copyright status, which permitted unrestricted commercialization, has been superseded. Moonbirds will now align with other popular items from Yuga Labs, such as CryptoPunks and the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Ā In February, Yuga Labs acquired Moonbirds, marking a significant turning point in both companies’ histories. Yuga Labs has added Moonbirds to its portfolio and the commercial rights, which are the same as those held by Mythics holders.
This action is perceived as an attempt to improve the value offered to NFT owners. Alongside the changeover, Yuga Labs has announced a reorganization that would result in employee layoffs. The company adjusts to lower trading volumes and royalties from its top NFT collectors as the NFT market slows down more broadly.Ā
Moonbirds and Yuga Labs Collaborate on 3D
Moonbirds is taking on a new artistic approach in addition to modifications to copyright regulations. In the announcement, plans for producing animated 3D avatars and incorporating them into Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse project were outlined.
This project shows how more dynamic and adaptable digital assets replace static NFTs. The transition to 3D avatars indicates that Moonbirds wants to provide a more immersive, richer user experience.
This move aligns with the current trends in virtual reality and digital art and expands on the possible uses for Moonbirds in virtual worlds.
