Several major dollar-pegged stablecoins are accepted as payment methods on the e-commerce service, including Bitcoin, Ether, and Dogecoin.
It is the latest such website to accept cryptocurrency payments, with the Shop.com e-commerce platform in the United States being the latest to do so.
A relationship between Market America and cryptocurrency payment service provider BitPay has been announced, which would enable the company to accept payments in a variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC).
Users of Shop.com will be able to pay using their cryptocurrency wallets as a result of the new relationship, which will be available during checkout. For the time being, users can choose between Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ether (ETH), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), and five USD-pegged stablecoins when making payments.
Shop.com president and chief operating officer Steve Ashley described the partnership as the “next chapter in doing business.”
He added that the BitPay integration is available in all of the countries where Market America operates, which includes the United States, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Malaysia, among other countries.
BitPay is a cryptocurrency payment gateway that is used by businesses who typically deal in fiat currencies. The Las Vegas Auto Gallery and The Kessler Collection, both of which are American luxury hotels, have struck agreements with BitPay to accept Bitcoin as payment.
Crypto payments are of great interest to both crypto owners and non-owners, according to a new survey conducted by the cryptocurrency payment provider.
Cointelegraph stated that up to 93 percent of responding crypto users said they would consider making purchases with cryptocurrency in the future, while 59 percent of customers who have never owned cryptocurrency expressed an interest in using it to make purchases in the future as well.
