Hoskinson while outlining the future of Cardano at a virtual conference compares Input Output, the software company behind Cardano, to Apple, implying that we’re on the lookout for the next Steve Jobs .
About a hundred bobbing avatars representing ADA fans from all over the world crowd together at Cardano Summit 2021 to watch Charles Hoskinson outline the future of Cardano.
But the difference is that Hoskinson will soon leave his blooming environment, while we, the bobbles, who are already brimming with anticipation, will be the next Steve Jobs.
Hoskinson says, “You made me believe in people again.” “You convinced me that there are no difficulties we can’t solve and no peaks we can’t climb.” But, Hoskinson, you offered us something even more valuable: you gave us the confidence to believe in ourselves!
He claims that a decentralized app store for Cardano apps is on the way, and that the bobbles, including the errant yellow one spinning on her heels, would help fill it.
We won’t have to ask anyone’s permission to upload our programs, unlike Apple’s App Store. Chainlink will interface with Cardano, and a small mobile wallet is also in the works.
Hoskinson outlines a strategic relationship between Dish and Input Output during his keynote speech. Dish is a Fortune 200 corporation based in the United States that manages satellite TV infrastructure. According to Hoskinson, it is the “rebel of the telco space.” They will be used by IOHK to create products.
It’s unclear what IOHK’s products will be, but “proof of bandwidth” and decentralized identification and loyalty schemes have been discussed.
“Without connectivity, blockchains are useless,” argues Chris Ergen, co-founder and chairman of DISH Office of Innovation. The technologies will be “exponentially bigger” when they are combined.
When a close bobble climbs on top of me, I become distracted from the speech. I can’t concentrate because the bobble, which originates in Nottinghamshire, England, is constant.
Something about “lubricating” admission to “underbaked consumers” comes to mind. Disgusted, I retreat to the island, where I meditate by a waterfall while listening to soothing music.
