The largest soft drink company in the world, Coca-Cola, has introduced its NFT line on the brand-new Coinbase layer-2 network Base.
With the release of its initial NFT collection on the Coinbase layer-2 network Base, Coca-Cola has made another step into the world of digital art.
The world’s largest beverage company debuted its Masterpiece collection as part of Coinbase’s “Onchain Summer” event, a mix of revered artworks and cutting-edge works incorporated with the iconic Coca-Cola bottle.
Along with more recent works by up-and-coming artists, the Masterpiece collection includes Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” among its many items. This creative fusion honors the tradition of Coca-Cola while embracing the potential of digital creativity.
With this project, Coca-Cola joins the list of significant consumer companies working with Base. Zora, Pixelmon, Showtime, and Indelible are just a few of the upcoming digital collectible projects, which together highlight the growing interest of well-known brands in the NFT market.
Beyond its ongoing partnership with Base, Coca-Cola is actively involved with NFTs. The beverage juggernaut shocked NFT aficionados in August 2022 by airdropping NFTs to owners of its prior collections on the Polygon network.
By promoting fan loyalty and commemorating International Friendship Day, this project echoed the company’s goal of fostering linkages between online and offline interactions.
