NFTs adoption is spreading like wildfire, it might be a season for luxury cars as Mercedes-Benz recently launched an NFT series. Lamborghini is the newest car maker to join the NFT frenzy.
Automobili Lamborghini is the latest company to jump on board the non-fungible token (NFT) bandwagon. Lamborghini has unveiled the NFT collection, which includes five exclusive digital artworks that can only be accessed through the possession of special physical keys.
Automobili Lamborghini, an Italian luxury car manufacturer, is releasing an NFT collection with a unique tale, according to a press statement. A yet-to-be-named artist created five original space-themed digital artworks for the collection. One of five unique ‘Space Keys’ developed by the same artist is required to access the collection.
The physical Space Keys are unique in that they are manufactured from a material that has travelled to outer space. The Space Keys are created from carbon fibre Lamborghini samples that were launched to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of a cooperative research project in 2019.
We love to get out of our comfort zone and discover new spaces. We are glad to announce the Automobili Lamborghini Space Key. A space-themed artwork, consisting of five units created by a secret artist with the carbon fiber material we sent to ISS in 2019, they said.Â
More information about the artist’s identity, as well as a date for the collection’s auction, will be released soon. The collection was created in collaboration with NFT PRO, an enterprise NFT solution that has worked with companies like Adidas, Sotheby’s, and Juventus to bring their NFT integration to the market.
Big Business ventures in the NFTs space
Leading brands have begun using NFTs as the latest marketing gimmick. Food businesses (Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Campbell’s), fashion brands (Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Nike, Gucci), sports teams and athletes (NFL, Juventus, Lionel Messi, Kobe Bryant), and technology companies (Atari) all released NFT collections last year. Samsung has already indicated that NFTs will be integrated into its smart TVs in 2022.
Others, such as Adidas and Visa, have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on NFT pieces as a diversification strategy. Many of these companies see NFTs as the new entrance to the digital economy being constructed in Web 3 or the metaverse, and they are optimistic about them.
